Heather Moore fabric

Guest blogger Sarah Barnhoorn of Babazeka writes about one of South Africa's most well known fabric designers.

Heather Moore, under the name of Skinny laMinx, is fast becoming one of the country's most well known fabric designers and producers. Through her daily blog posts and her fabulous products, which are sold through Etsy.com, Heather has gained much credibility in design circles around South Africa and internationally, particularly in the United States.

I've been a huge fan of her original prints since she first started her label a few years ago. All of her designs have a contemporary yet quirky feel, always simple, always fresh. From her hand-printed fabrics, Heather makes cushion covers, tea towels, notebooks, aprons and more.

She is extremely talented and deserves all the success which seems to be flying her way. If you were in Cape Town this past weekend, I hope you had a chance to take a look at her fabrics at the Threadcount Collective stand at the Design Indaba Expo.
