Guest blogger Sarah Barnhoorn of Babazeka writes about this business known for its crocheted copper wire products.

I've just realised that I've never told you about one of my favourite businesses which we support at Babazeka. It's known as uSisi Designs and is based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

uSisi is another example of a business doing good in South Africa. It employs a number of women who are able to work from their homes. This means they can earn money at the same time as looking after their families.

uSisi made itself known with its beautiful crocheted copper wire products, but since than it has branched off in a few different directions. All of the new products are just as gorgeous as the original ones. Here are some of my favourites.

Isn't this imfibinga seed heart brooch just so sweet? It's perfect for wearing on a jacket, or embellishing a handbag.

And then I just love this crocheted clutch bag, decorated with mother-of-pearl buttons. It's stylish, and unique.

What about this chunky turquoise rolled necklace? Isn't it beautiful?

The scoobie wire necklaces and bracelets are great too. To me, the bright colours and simple design make them young-at-heart accessories.

I hope you like uSisi's products as much as I do. I think it's always inspiring to see such a variety of products being made so flawlessly by hand.
